Those that submit a proposal to Bayer's Grant4 program must agree to the following terms:
- I am aware and agree that the information I am providing will be regarded as and deemed to be non-confidential, and that neither Bayer AG (“Bayer”) nor any of its Affiliates (e. any entity or company which directly or indirectly, through one or more intermediaries, controls, is controlled by or is under common control with Bayer AG) shall have an obligation of any kind with respect to such information.
- In addition, I consent to the storage and processing of my personal data as provided in this application by Bayer and any of its Affiliates for the purpose of evaluating this application.
- I declare that I/I together with collaborators/coworkers (named in the submission form) synthesized the compound and generated the data described. I am not knowingly violating the rights of any third party
- I agree that Bayer will offer a grant solely under the following conditions
- The decision as to whether to offer a grant will be made at the sole discretion of Bayer.
- If a certain applicant's initiative will be chosen to receive a grant, such applicant will initially be informed via e-mail. The applicant will be asked to initiate a written request for payment of the grant to an address indicated by Bayer and within a certain deadline indicated by Bayer. To that end, applicant will receive a purchase order with an order number which must be included in the written request for payment. All agreed grant consideration will be exclusive of Value Added Tax ("VAT"). If VAT is legally owed by the applicant, VAT will apply and will be invoiced additionally by the applicant and will be paid by Bayer after receipt of a correct invoice, which meets all legal requirements according to the applicable VAT-law.The applicant must carefully observe the payment process and the corresponding deadlines
- By issuing the written request for payment to Bayer the applicant will accept the grant under the terms and conditions set out in this Legal Notice
- The grant may solely be used to advance the research work outlined in the abstract submitted in the application, which Bayer assumes will be completed within one year of receipt of the grant. No overhead costs may be paid from the grant
- Upon completion of the research the applicant will send to Bayer a non-confidential report on the work performed and the results (no later than 1 year after receipt of the grant). Bayer would very much appreciate receiving a copy of any publications resulting from this project, before submission to a journal, in order to e.g. provide some advice regarding protection of intellectual property. Furthermore, Bayer will kindly ask the applicant to mention the support of Bayer in any such publication
- The grant will not constitute a service or work relationship with Bayer. Bayer will not assume any insurance coverage for the applicant.
