How will the technology be piloted?
Selected proposals will collaborate with PepsiCo for a proof-of-concept wherein the technology will be installed at a manufacturing site to validate energy usage, volume of water extracted and quality of the water.
If a technology is only operable in the lab environment, researchers would need to work with PepsiCo to scale the equipment for installation at a manufacturing site.
